A ferry called Estonia

"will the church pay for this trip asked the "first" driver, when we
drove back from Latvia in our mobile bus Old Betty. We had just left supplies to a school in the town Saulkrasti.
We were told to go back the same way that we came: thru Finland.
But, when we came to Tallinn, the driver decided to take a ferry named Estonia, destined to Stockholm.
Later we understood why.
